College Football National Title Odds: Ohio State remains heavy favorite

Updated national title odds to win the 2015 College Football Playoff still likes the Ohio State Buckeyes to repeat as national champions.

After a quiet week of college football with little marquee games and few upsets, the month of November is guaranteed to be the best month of the season with teams putting themselves in position to get in the College Football Playoff or playing themselves out of the conversation.

The No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes have been the betting favorite as Urban Meyer, Ezekiel Elliott and their rotating group of quarterbacks look to win a second straight national title. Entering Week 10, it’s the Buckeyes who remain the betting favorite, according to Las Vegas SuperBook who give Ohio State 9-5 odds.

While Ohio State will have to play one game without their starting quarterback, J.T. Barrett, after an OVI citation, the Baylor Bears will have to play the rest of the year without their starter after Seth Russell was lost for the year after undergoing neck surgery to repair a broken bone in his neck.

Despite the loss of Russell and true freshman Jarrett Stidham replacing him, the Bears are still receiving the second best odds to win the national title at 5-1.

One-loss Alabama and undefeated Clemson are tied for third with 6-1 while one-loss Stanford comes in slightly behind with 8-1 odds.

A pair of undefeated teams are receiving 10-1 odds with the LSU Tigers and Michigan State Spartans receiving 10-1 odds while another undefeated team, the TCU Horned Frogs are getting 12-1 odds. These odds should be an indication about how the oddsmakers view the winners of Ohio State-Michigan State, Alabama-LSU and TCU-Baylor.

Fresh off their win over Temple, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are getting 15-1 odds.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State share the same 20-1 odds, undefeated Iowa is getting 30-1 odds while Florida, Florida State and Michigan round out the list at 80-1.
