Trevone Boykin had the luxury of resting this weekend, taking care of West Virginia on Thursday. He’ll need that extra rest, so that he can get through the remaining schedule for the Horned Frogs. West Virginia doesn’t play much defense, and neither does the Big 12 for that matter, so this is a good position for Boykin to get himself into.
Baylor might not be the same team without Heisman hopeful Seth Russell, and Oklahoma could go either way. Meanwhile Oklahoma State has shown that they are vulnerable as well. But at the end of the day, so is TCU, with that porous defense, that will get them into trouble down the tail end of this schedule.
With this schedule, if TCU can come up undefeated, and Fournette slips just a bit, Boykin could be your 2015 Heisman Trophy winner. He’ll need a couple of 400 yard games and four-plus touchdown games, in some 50-plus point performances, but it could happen.
