There was some suspense as fans outside Bryant-Denny Stadium as Alabama fans gathered for College GameDay this morning about who would be today’s celebrity guest picker.

As is always the case, there were some speculation and wild guesses about who it would be. On Friday night, I saw some people throw out the name of rapper Rick Ross to which I nodded in approval, but didn’t think it would be possible.

But sure enough, as is always the case, I was wrong as Ross took some time out of his Saturday to drop off in Tuscaloosa where he was the celebrity guest picker and the Alabama fan seemed to hit it off right away with Lee Corso.

When it came time to make the official predictions. Rick Ross was the lone member on the set to go with Alabama as Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit picked LSU before him. That left Corso to make his headgear pick and there was some misdirection when he first played the LSU fight song, then Sweet Home Alabama before saying Roll …. Tiger and donning the LSU mascot head.
