A College football national championship is a difficult thing to win. It takes great players, great coaches, the right timing, and usually a little luck. For these teams, it’s a goal that will likely never be achieved.

Celebrating a college football national championship is the dream of every player, coach and especially the fans. Some programs make a habit of winning them, and seem to come up with at least one in every decade. Other programs win them a bit more sparsely, having all the pieces fall into place every 20-30 years.

There are teams who have just a couple, or even one national title and that is there claim to fame. They may never win another one, but no one can take that accomplishment.

Then there are programs who just simply don’t have the recruiting power, facilities, money and ability to break through and win a national title. They might compete in their respective conference, or might play in a smaller, less powerful football conference, or they might just be a school who cares nothing about football.

They say never to say never, but I’m saying never to these teams. They’ve never won a championship, and likely never will.
