Kentucky football? Welcome to Kansas of the Southeast. A basketball school through and through who makes a few feeble attempts at becoming football relevant. While Kentucky claims a 1950 national title, it’s not a recognized championship, which is why they stay on this list.

In 2013, Mark Stoops was brought in to turn things around in Lexington and to create a new contender in the SEC East. The hype has been there, the buzz has been there, the recruiting has improved, but the results have been pretty much the same. Kentucky doesn’t win, going 11-21 under Stoops.

The Wildcats played their first season of football in 1892 and have only two conference titles to their name, and haven’t really come close since the 1976 season. Like Kansas, there’s a lot to love on the court at Kentucky, just not on the turf.
