Kansas Jayhawks
All-Time Program Record: 579–606–58
Outside of Mark Mangino’s checkered era at Kansas, the Jayhawks football program has been off the radar completely. As storied and successful a program as Kansas is in basketball, they are equally irrelevant in football at this time.
The Jayhawks do have five Big 8 Championships on their resume, but haven’t won a conference title since 1968. Not even in the most successful year in program history (2007) did they win the Big 12. A 6-6 postseason record is better than some, but still not a lot to crow about for a program that’s been playing since 1890.
You’ve got Allen Fieldhouse and a lot of hoops bravado, Jayhawks fans. Let that be what you cling to for bragging rights. The football field isn’t your bag.
