California has now lost 4-straight games this season, and everyone is looking at Sonny Dykes. But at the beginning of this season, California looked to have one of the toughest schedules in the nation, and it still appears to be that way. This team was a potential missed PAT away from losing to Texas, and then two game winning stops against the Washington schools.
This is a talented team, but their schedule is just way too much them to handle. Oregon State, Arizona State and Stanford remain, and they’re likely to only win one of those games, with a decent shot at Arizona State and their defense.
A 6-6 season isn’t bad for California, but considering the Golden Bears started 5-0, that isn’t a very good look.
