USC kept their game with Arizona much closer than it should have been, and probably should have lost, after trailing for most that game. But nonetheless, they closed out the game, and held the Wildcats off.
Now they face a pretty competitive Colorado Buffalo squad, and they could even give USC some trouble. Could they? Of course. But will they? Probably not. The margin between the two talent levels of each team is just far too great, and USC should handle the Buffs quite easily.
You’d expect a big rushing performance by USC, one because Colorado doesn’t have a great run defense, and two, because they’ll have the lead for the majority of the game, if not the entire time. Playing catch up means that Sefo Liufau and Nelson Spruce will be able to hook up often in this one, but there’s only so much those two can do to continue carrying this offense.
Expect USC to cover the spread here big time. And in all honestly, I’m surprised the spread isn’t between 19-22 points.
