Dana Holgorsen goes crowd surfing after West Virginia beats Texas (Video)
Dana Holgorsen and his West Virginia Mountaineers picked up a solid win over the Texas Longhorns and celebrated in a big way.
Normally anytime you beat Texas in football it’s cause for a wild and raucous celebration. West Virginia didn’t play a normal Texas team as the Longhorns entered the game with a 4-5 record and in danger of missing a bowl game in the second year of Charlie Strong’s tenure.
However, that didn’t stop Holgorsen from celebrating like his team just beat Vince Young and company after the Mountaineers won 38-20 on Saturday to drop the Horns to 4-6. After the game, Holgorsen was lifted up in the air by his players and did a little crowdsurfing of sorts.
He (or someone running his twitter account) shared video of the postgame celebration in the locker room with Holgorsen hoisted in the air and nearly hitting his head on the ceiling in the locker room.
Now this is pretty awesome. Whether it’s against a great Texas team or a bad Texas team, beating one of the best programs of all-time is always cause for a celebration.
The win boosted West Virginia’s record to 5-4 overall and one win shy of gaining bowl-eligibility and 2-4 in the Big 12.
