12. Rutgers (3-7, 1-6)

The other half of Big Ten expansion is just about as bad as Maryland. We’ll find out for sure in two weeks when Rutgers and Maryland meet in an epic conference finale. The Scarlet Knights were clearly outclassed by Nebraska at home, 31-14. Rutgers pass offense has excelled with Leonte Carroo in the lineup. The Huskers posed one of the worst pass defenses in the nation coming in, but Chris Laviano couldn’t take advantage. Laviano hit on only 13 of 27 throws with no touchdowns and two interceptions.

11. Indiana (4-6, 0-6)

Yes I’m ranking Indiana above two teams with conference wins. The Hoosiers have played much better against the top teams when compared to other Big Ten bottom feeders. The 48-41 overtime loss to Michigan is the latest in a line of would be major upsets against the likes of Ohio State and Iowa as well. Jordan Howard shredded the nation’s No. 1 rushing defense for 235 yards. The Hoosiers also own the best non-conference win (Wake Forest) outside the Big Ten’s top five teams.
