What was once a most disappointing season for the Arkansas Razorbacks is suddenly a pretty good one – with a chance to get even better over the last two weeks of the regular season. Following back-to-back road wins over Ole Miss and LSU, the Razorbacks have won four games in a row, are now in second place in the SEC West, and have climbed all the way to third in our SEC Power Rankings.

Running back Alex Collins out-dueled Leonard Fournette with 141 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries – including an 80-yard TD that gave the Hogs a 14-0 lead in the second quarter. The Arkansas defense held Fournette to 91 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, which was the second-worst performance of the season for the star running back. The Razorbacks held LSU to 330 total yards during the game and forced two turnovers.

Kody Walker added 88 rushing yards on 17 carries and wide receiver Jared Cornelius ran for 71 yards on two carries and scored on a 69-yard reverse early in the fourth quarter that put the game out of reach. Quarterback Brandon Allen was 9-for-16 passing for 141 yards with a 52-yard touchdown pass to Dominque Reed and an interception.

Arkansas is bowl eligible for the second consecutive season, and has an opportunity to finish the regular season with a flourish if the Hogs can secure victories over Mississippi State next Saturday and Missouri the following week.
