What a weekend for the Pac-12. While they might be out of the College Football Playoff conversation, this is probably the most competitive conference from top to bottom. When you look at a team like Arizona State, and see them hovering as the arguably the 8th or 9th best team in the conference, that’s a good thing for the Pac-12.

Oregon State is still bad, and Colorado still can’t close a game out. Neither can Washington, but both have a lot to look forward to in the coming years. The Arizona schools are facing off against each other this weekend, and that will determine who jumps ahead in the rankings.

Meanwhile, we have California who finally won a game, reaching bowl eligibility. Oregon is surging to the top, and so is Washington State, but UCLA and USC are struggling down the stretch, while amidst a Pac-12 South race.

Both of the top teams in the conference lost this weekend, but they’re still not going to move that far down, considering their consistent play all season long. With just two weeks left in the season, the Pac-12 South is all but locked up, and the top teams in the Pac-12 North are asserting themselves.
