3. Bowl Season
The holidays are about three things for the true college football fan – food, festivities, and football. The college football bowl season can satisfy all three.
Starting in December and going all the way through mid-January, there are 40 different bowls and championship games to keep the football jones at bay for a couple of months after the season ends. Complain all you want about the growing number of bowls, most fans wouldn’t want it any other way.
Any excuse to watch more football.
Silly corporate sponsor names, parades, trophies and bragging rights are just a few of the great things about bowl season. If the playoffs do indeed expand, we can only hope that they carry more bowl games along with them.
