2. The Army-Navy Game

There is a single part of the college football season which keeps us all grounded and puts it all into perspective, and that’s the annual Army-Navy game.

As great as every other rivalry may be, there is nothing that compares to this game. It doesn’t matter how meaningless it may be in terms of records or standings, the Midshipmen and Black Knight put on a display of heart and emotion every year, and it’s a wonder to behold.

Say what you will about athletics at the service academies, the Army-Navy game is a throwback to what college athletics was meant to be, and there isn’t a player on the field who doesn’t give every bit of his being to win the game.

As fans, we are all privileged to be able to witness this game, and it’s nearly impossible to not be moved by what you see.

‘Murica!
