Prior to Jarrett Stidham’s broken bone in his foot that is ending his regular season, I would have put Baylor at No. 4. After hearing this, it’s hard to imagine their third-string quarterback Chris Johnson who was recently practicing at wide receiver will be able to go right away.
In an offense that relies so much on the quarterback, it’s hard to think that a new quarterback can step right in and replicate the same level of production. This isn’t an Ohio State situation going on where the Buckeyes won the national title with their third-string quarterback, Cardale Jones.
