While they may have squeaked by TCU this weekend, they had an impressive win at Baylor, and their lone loss was in their Red River Rivalry vs. Texas, and Texas is far below average this season.
At the beginning of the season, I was pretty impressed with Tennessee, and Oklahoma went in to Knoxville and came back to win in double overtime over the Vols. Now, Tennessee hasn’t been able to close out games this season, but I still find it as a very impressive win, especially given the hype of the Vols and their recent recruiting classes with their fan support.
Despite not playing in a conference championship game, if Oklahoma can head to Stillwater and knock off the Cowboys, the Sooners should be getting in as at least the four seed in the playoffs, but then the debate starts with Notre Dame possibly being left out of the playoffs.
