Alabama Football: Derrick Henry Heisman hype video
Watch this awesome Heisman hype video for Alabama running back Derrick Henry.
Alabama Crimson Tide running back Derrick Henry is the Heisman front-runner according to the oddsmakers with Stanford Cardinal running back and Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson the other two finalists.
Henry leads the nation in rushing with 1,986 yards, breaking the SEC single-season rushing record previously held by Herschel Walker and set a SEC record with his national-leading 23 touchdowns.
He’s been a workhorse with 46 and 44 carries in the last two games to get Alabama a win in the Iron Bowl over the Auburn Tigers and win the SEC Championship Game against the great Florida Gators defense. He tied Bo Jackson and Walker with four games with more than 200 yards rushing and scored a touchdown in 18 straight games, dating back to last season.
And you can relive many of those touchdown runs and 200-yard games in this awesome Heisman hype video from Harris Highlights.
I have a feeling this will be on repeat in and around the greater Tuscaloosa, AL. region, especially with the absence of the Crimson Tide on TV this weekend. It’s a long wait until New Year’s Eve when Alabama plays the Michigan State Spartans in the Cotton Bowl in the College Football Playoff semifinal, so this should get plenty of run.

Pun intended because Henry got plenty of run for Alabama this year and he just may run into the record books and hoist the Heisman Trophy when it’s presented to the winner on Saturday night on ESPN.
Do you think Henry will win the Heisman? Do you think he should win the Heisman? If he doesn’t win the most prestigious individual honor in college football, who do you think should win the Heisman from Watson and McCaffrey?
