TV info, betting odds, predictions and live stream for the Sugar Bowl between the Ole Miss Rebels and the Oklahoma State Cowboys from New Orleans.

Expect to see points scored in bunches at this year’s Sugar Bowl. Both the Ole Miss Rebels and the Oklahoma State Cowboys finished in the top 14 for scoring offenses. Furthermore, both teams have more reason to score against each other as this is the third time in 10 years that the Cowboys and Rebels have met in the postseason.

The Rebels have defeated the Cowboys consecutive times that they have played each other in the postseason. In 2004, Ole Miss defeated Oklahoma State 31-28, to win the Cotton Bowl. The next time these two teams met, Ole Miss once again won the Cotton Bowl. This time by a score of 21-7, in 2010.

Both Oklahoma State and Ole Miss had great seasons. There were times when both were considered College Football Playoff-caliber teams. Oklahoma State had a 10-game winning streak to open the year, but are riding a two-game losing streak after losses to Baylor and Oklahoma to lose the Big 12.

Ole Miss is the only team to beat Alabama this year but the Rebels overtime loss to Arkansas on a fluke lateral play on fourth-and-25 cost them a chance at the SEC Championship with a second conference loss.

Prediction

Ultimately, the Ole Miss Rebels should defeat the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Sugar Bowl, for their third consecutive postseason game. The Rebels have an excellent quarterback-receiver combination in Kelly and Treadwell. Also, having to play a team like Alabama, has taught this Rebels team how to win tough games.

Final Score: Oklahoma State: 34, Ole Miss: 40
