Where is Kyle Allen transferring? Here are eight possible fits for the former Texas A&M Aggies starting quarterback.
On Wednesday evening, former five-star quarterback Kyle Allen announced his decision to transfer from Texas A&M.
Allen was named the starter late last season, which forced Kenny Hill to transfer out to TCU. This season, Allen started for the Aggies, and had an up-and-down game vs. Arizona State in the season opener. He eventually lost the starting job after suffering back-to-back losses to Alabama and Ole Miss.
Kyler Murray replaced Allen in the starting lineup, but he was later benched, and back came Allen, who started the rest of the season.
Allen started 14 games for the Aggies over the last two years, throwing for 3,532 yards, 33 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in his career in College Station.
The former five-star quarterback was one of the most highly recruited kids in Arizona history, hailing from Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, AZ. He finished high school early, to enroll at Texas A&M and join the team for spring practice.
The 6-3 210-pound quarterback chose the Aggies over offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Alabama and UCLA.
Allen has been granted his release, and will leave campus immediately, but he can’t transfer to an SEC school or future opponents of Texas A&M. Having said that, here are eight possible destinations where Allen could continue his promising college career.
