Ole Miss Rebels defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche fell from a fourth-floor window and suffered multiple cuts.

Robert Nkemdiche was recently named a second-team All-American and is a potential top-five pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, but the Ole Miss defensive lineman had the scare of a lifetime when he fell from a fourth floor window at a hotel, according to Cody Chaffins of FOX 5 in Atlanta.

According to Zach Klein of WSB (ABC-TV) in Atlanta, the hotel window was broken out and marijuana was discovered at the scene.

Klein shares details of the police report:

"“At approximately 2318 hours, Zone Two units responded to a person injured call where a male had fallen from a hotel room window. Upon arrival, the victim was conscious and breathing. He was transported to Grady Memorial and was in stable condition. Inside the hotel room, units located a small amount of suspected marijuana. The window was also broken out. It appears that the victim broke the window and then walked approximately 15 feet and climbed over a wall and fell approximately 15 feet. GI Squad and the Narcotics Unit responded to the scene along with the Crime Scene Unit.”"

Nkemdiche’s NFL Draft stock is going to take a hit with this news. Thankfully, he’s in stable condition after the fall and wasn’t hurt more severely, but NFL teams will want to know every last detail that led to his falling. For a player as physically gifted as the 6-4, 296-pound Nkemdiche is, this mental lapse could cost him millions when the draft rolls around.

Teams aren’t going to want to spent a top-five pick and millions upon millions of dollars on a player who would put himself in a situation as dangerous as this. He’s lucky he didn’t shatter any bones or suffer any brain trauma.

Maybe this serves as a wake-up call for the Nkemdiche and not just a warning sign of what dangers and pitfalls may come down the road.

Nkemdiche had 26 tackles and three sacks for the Rebels who play Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.
