Greg Little commits to Ole Miss: Rebels land No. 2 overall recruit
The Ole Miss Rebels picked up the commitment from five-star offensive tackle Greg Little on Wednesday as Hugh Freeze gets the nation’s No. 2 ranked recruit.
Greg Little (Allen, Texas. Allen) committed to Ole Miss on Wednesday, picking the Rebels over offers from the LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Texas A&M where Allen was previously committed to.
The 6-5.5, 305-pound offensive tackle committed to Texas A&M last year, but backed off that pledge when he decommitted in July. From there, Allen took official visits to Auburn, Georgia, Alabama and LSU, but in the end none of those SEC teams were able to trump Ole Miss who was the favorite to secure his commitment and on Dec. 16, they were successful with that.
Little is the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle recruit and the No. 2 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the 20th commitment for head coach Hugh Freeze’s 2016 class that now ranks third in the nation and second in the SEC, according to the 247Sports Team Rankings.
He will play in the U.S. Army All-American Game in January.

Little should make a seamless transition from high school to the SEC just as Laremy Tunsil did when he was the nation’s top offensive tackle recruit and No. 5 overall recruit three years ago when he committed to Ole Miss.
Little will be compared to Tunsil because of their recruiting pedigree and because Little will likely slot right into the Rebels starting lineup, occupying the spot that Tunsil is likely to vacate when he declares for the NFL Draft after the Rebels play in the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma State.

So that’s the expectation for Little. Step right in and start from Day 1 and replace a player who may be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He’ll also be protecting the nation’s No. 1 quarterback recruit and No. 5 overall recruit, Shea Patterson’s blind side.
No pressure.
