GoDaddy.com Bowl: Bowling Green vs Georgia Southern TV info, live stream, betting odds, prediction
Bowling Green from the MAC takes on Georgia Southern from the Sun Belt Conference from Mobile, Alabama.
The Bowling Green Falcons won the MAC Championship after going 10-3 but that cost them head coach Dino Babers who is now the head coach of the Syracuse Orange. Meanwhile, this is the first bowl game in program history, but they also lost their head coach Willie Fritz to the head coaching job with the Tulane Green Wave.

There are still plenty of great players to watch in the game though. The top rushing attack in the nation will face one of the top passing offenses in the country.
Georgia Southern’s running back Matt Breida has put up 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 8.2 yards per carry. LA Ramsby has also done well for the Eagles, gaining 772 yards on the ground and scoring 12 rushing touchdowns. The next two of the team’s top rushers have over 600 yards.
If there’s any one key to the game for Bowling Green, it’s to slow down Georgia Southern’s potent rushing game.
For Bowling Green the offense is a bit more balanced, but an outrageous passing performance by Matt Johnson this year has the quarterback 300 yards away from 5,000 passing yards. For Johnson, who averages over 360 passing yards per game, such a feat is entirely in his reach.
Bowling Green also has a potent rushing game lead by Travis Greene, who has accumulated 1,220 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

Prediction
Georgia Southern is a very good team this year and pushed the Georgia Bulldogs into overtime. All of the other three losses were to talented teams. Georgia Southern has the No. 21 defense in the nation and is No. 40 in passing defense. Georgia Southern’s downside is the passing game and a high turnover rate on offense.
Bowling Green has lost to quality teams as well, including Tennessee, Memphis and Toledo. Defensively, the Falcons aren’t in as good shape as the Eagles, but Bowling Green is one of the best in the nation in winning the turnover margin. As a whole their defensive unit is 78th.

Seeing how Bowling Green usually wins the turnover margin and has a potent offense, I think they’d be the favorite to win this, but Georgia Southern is a very formidable opponent.
