Heart of Dallas Bowl: Washington vs Southern Miss TV info, live stream, odds, prediction and more
The Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl features the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles against the Washington Huskies.
Southern Miss head coach Todd Monken had one of the best turnarounds in the nation after leading the Golden Eagles to a 9-4 record after winning 1 and 3 games his first two years.

The Washington Huskies had to rebuild this year after losing so much to the NFL Draft and coach Chris Petersen managed to get wins over USC and Washington State to get to 6-6. The record could have been better if not for losses to Boise State, Oregon and California by a combined 15 points.
Southern Miss appears to have more at stake in this game with 10 wins on the line, and a win over a Power Five school would be a nice exclamation mark at the end of a great season.

Nick Mullens leads the Southern Miss offense and put up some of the best passing numbers in the country. His 4,145 passing yards ranks seventh and his 36 touchdown passes are tied for fourth. Michael Thomas leads the team with 1, 201 yards and 12 touchdowns while Casey Martin leads with 74 catches.

What makes this Southern Miss offense too much for Washinton to defend is the pair of 1,000-yard rushers in the backfield.
Jalen Richard has 1,098 yards and 14 touchdowns on 188 carries and Ito Smith has 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns on 155 carries. Washington is 12th in scoring defense, allowing 17.8 points per game, but Southern Miss has the weapons to pull out a narrow win.
