Keenan Reynolds went out a winner as the Navy quarterback regained his career touchdown rushing record and set another record in the Military Bowl win against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds ran for 144 yards to set the career rushing record by a quarterback and had three rushing touchdowns to regain the career rushing touchdown record in the Midshipmen’s 44-28 win over the Pitt Panthers in the Military Bowl.

Reynolds also added a touchdown through the air on 9 of 17 passing for 126 yards en route to 490 yards of offense against the Pittsburgh defense that had no answer for the fifth-place finisher in the Heisman vote.

As if running and throwing wasn’t enough for Reynolds, he also had a 47-yard reception Navy racked up 417 yards on the ground on 71 carries and five touchdowns with Chris Swain carrying the ball 27 times for 114 yards.

Pitt couldn’t generate enough offense today and struggled with ball security as quarterback Nathan Peterman threw three interceptions and just didn’t do enough with their limited chances.

Quadree Henderson returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to give the Panthers a quick 7-0 lead, but that would be their only lead of the game and allowed 31 unanswered points after as the game got out of hand in a hurry.

The loss drops Pitt to 8-5 on the year in Pat Narduzzi’s first year as the head coach while Navy closes their season with an 11-2 record.
