A Michigan football fan created a Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired hype video and it’s awesome.

The Michigan Wolverines closed their season with a dominant victory over SEC East champion Florida on New Year’s Day in the Citrus Bowl.

Michigan doubled their win total from last year when they only won five games under Brady Hoke and went 10-3 in the first year under Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines could be contenders for the Big Ten in 2016.

The 2015 season is still fresh in the memory banks but that hasn’t stopped one fan from creating the ultimate 2016 hype video for the Wolverines and he used the latest Star Wars movie that’s smashing box office records seemingly by the day.

If you’re in the minority and haven’t seen The Force Awakens yet, don’t worry, you can still watch this hype video and you won’t be faced with any spoilers. There are some voiceovers from the new movie, but they’re all rather innocent and out of context, so you’re safe hitting play, I assure you.

So how awesome was that?

I think my favorite clip from the hype video was when we see Harbaugh with the Kylo voiceover from the movie saying, “I’ll finish what you started” and we then see an old clip of Bo Schembechler on the sidelines.

Chills.
