The Michigan Wolverines picked up the commitment from four-star receiver Dylan Crawford during the U.S. Army All-American Game.

Dylan Crawford (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Santa Margarita Catholic) committed to Michigan during the U.S. Army All-American Game to give Jim Harbaugh another weapon to help rebuild the Wolverines football program.

The 6-1, 186-pound Crawford is the nation’s No. 113 overall recruit, No. 20 wide receiver and the No. 18 recruit in the state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He picked Michigan over offers from Oregon, USC, Washington, UCLA and Stanford, among others.

“That’s just where I felt the all-around best fit,” Crawford said, via 247Sports. “Football-wise they’re definitely stable right now, they’re on the rise. Networking wise they’re obviously one of the best in the nation. You’re going to get your degree. (Coach Jim Harbaugh) is going to be on you to get your degree. I need someone that can push me like that.

“I just love everything about it.”

Crawford had a strong showing at The Opening last summer when he ran a 4.45 time in the 40 and that speed could give him a chance to earn playing time as a true freshman. He is so quick and smooth in and out of his breaks that he can be a nightmare to defend. Perhaps he could have an impact like former five-star recruit Christian Kirk who was a freshman All-American at Texas A&M this year.

The commitment from Crawford gives Harbaugh 24 commits for the 2016 class that now ranks as the best in the Big Ten and No. 2 in the nation, trailing LSU, according to the 247Sports Team Rankings.
