Projected by ESPN’s Todd McShay as a first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Tennessee cornerback and punt returner Cameron Sutton instead opted to return to school for his senior season.
Sutton has started all 38 games for the Vols since arriving in Knoxville in 2013, and has intercepted five passes in his career. A playmaker with the ball in his hands, Sutton returned a pick for a TD as a freshman and also scored twice in 2015 as a punt returner. Sutton averaged 18.7 yards per punt return last year.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Sutton has NFL size that matches up well with the SEC’s best receivers.
