Boise State Broncos

The Boise State program wants to be part of the big boys. They’ve played some big boy football against top teams…and won. What they haven’t done is become part of a conference which requires that type of play week in and week out.

The Broncos are famous for their odd Smurf Turf field, some pretty devoted fans who truly believe their team is as good as any Division I program, and for being the kings of the Fiesta Bowl when they play in it.

Boise State will never prove themselves as a true playoff or top-tier team while residing in the Mountain West conference, and they may never quite be the same program they were while Chris Petersen (who incidentally did move on to a Power-5 team) was their head coach.

Tons of self-confidence, big fish in a little pond, and pretty to look at but not quite as deep as you think. Boise, we give you…
