NFL Draft 2016: 10 players at Senior Bowl with most to gain
Dak Prescott is leaving Mississippi State with just about every program record a quarterback can have and leaves behind a legacy that will have Bulldogs fans happy they had him for five years, but sad because Prescott will be a player who is tough to ever replace. Despite his production, leadership and ability to make his teammates better (Mississippi State was the No. 1 team in the nation for a month in 2014) there are doubts about his game transitioning to the NFL.
Prescott played in Dan Mullen’s version of the spread which made him one of the SEC’s most dangerous runners but scouts will want to see how he handles a pro-style offense and if he can make all the throws an NFL offense requires. If Prescott can throw with anticipation and with accuracy, he could be a steal in the mid-rounds for a team looking for a quality backup who could serve as a part-time starter and not have your season go in the tank.
