Jim Harbaugh is back at his wooing ways as National Signing Day approaches. The coach has brought in all types of praise and scrutiny over his means of recruiting, and now he’s throwing in a little extra star-power to the mix.

Michigan football is about to throw a star-studded party for National Signing Day, featuring Tom Brady and Derek Jeter, two of the biggest sports stars in their respective sport’s histories and two of the finest Michigan men in of all-time.

It’s yet another bit of flash from Harbaugh as he’s tried to win his recruits over with a mixture of flamboyant acts and unrivaled enthusiasm. He’s also been criticized for dropping eight former verbal commits for more coveted recruits, which has also garnered quite a fair amount of attention. But he’s certainly not scaring off many of his other recruits and targets, as the Wolverines have the No. 5 class in the country with 3 days to go.

And this all-star lineup he’s assembled for signing day is just the last of the many colorful acts he’s used to try to grab some late signees. Between climbing trees on video to dabbing it up with recruits, Harbaugh has become pure entertainment himself. He’s had a sleepover at the house of one recruit, baked a cake for another, and even attended a recruit’s high school World Religion class.

So for however unfair his tactics in recruiting may be, Harbaugh admittedly has his very own style, walking to the beat of his very own loud drum. And having Tom Brady and Derek Jeter ready to welcome recruits is as flashy of an example as any.

Brady, a Michigan alum and one of the best, if not the best quarterback of all-time, and Jeter, one of the greatest shortstops in MLB history, will be joined by even more big names. That list also includes Harbaugh’s brother John, the one-time Super Bowl-winning head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, former Michigan Heisman winner Desmond Howard, and ex-pro wrestler Ric Flair.
