The Washington recruiting class Chris Petersen has should continue the pipeline of talent headed out of Seattle and to the NFL.

The Washington Huskies might not crack the top 25 rankings with this year’s recruiting class and they might not have a top-five class in the Pac-12, but this is one I think will be great for the Huskies, and will change the landscape of the Pac-12 for the next couple of years.

The four-stars in this class are absolute steals. It starts with Bryon Murphy, who was quite stolen from Arizona State. Most pegged Murphy as a Sun Devil, staying close to home with his close friends N’Keal Henry and Chase Lucas, giving Arizona State a monster class. Instead, the Huskies landed Murphy, the No. 11 corner in the nation and a top-100 player.

But it doesn’t stop there with corners for the Huskies. They landed a top in-state talent in Isaiah Gilchrist, the No. 25 corner in the nation. Pair those two up with Kentrell Love, a top-40 corner who led his Centennial Huskies to a California State Championship, and the secondary will be a no-fly zone.

Washington’s offense hasn’t exactly been the same since Keith Price, Bishop Sankey and Austin Sefarian-Jenkins left, but one guy who can revitalize that offense and potentially help true sophomore quarterback Jake Browning out immediately is Sean McGrew.

Checking in at 5-8 175-pounds, McGrew is the No. 5 all-purpose back in the nation and in two years could mean to the Huskies offense what Christian McCaffrey means to Stanford. He’s a guy who is able to run in-between the tackles, kick it outside or step out of the backfield in the passing game to open up the offense.

The Huskies also did a great job of swooping up interior defensive talent. Two four-star linebackers in Camil Eifler and Brandon Wellington and another four-star defensive end in Levi Onwuzurike.

Is the Washington recruiting class strong and deep enough to compete with Oregon, Stanford in the North and USC and UCLA in the Pac-12 for a potential run at the conference championship in the coming years?
