Recipient: Spencer Perry, Defensive Back, Newman, GA

Perry was once a commit to the University of Florida, but after he attended Notre Dames “Irish Invasion” camp last summer he flipped to the Irish. This says a lot about the Notre Dame staff being able to go down to SEC country and steal a recruit from a top flight SEC program.

As a player, Perry has a ton of potential and versatility. He’s listed as a 6’3″ 202-pounds. DB, but also has the skills to play safety, nickel or outside linebacker. Perry will give the Irish a ton of flexibility on defense in the years to come.
