Michigan Football: 4-star QB Dylan McCaffrey commits to Wolverines
Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football team may have their quarterback of the future after getting the verbal commitment from Dylan McCaffrey.
The Michigan Wolverines may have found the quarterback that helps lead the program back to a Big Ten title and perhaps a National Championship after getting the commitment from four-star quarterback recruit Dylan McCaffrey (Littleton, CO. Valor Christian) on Monday evening.

McCaffrey is the younger brother of Stanford running back and Heisman runner-up Christian McCaffrey and the son of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey.
The 6-5, 200-pound quarterback may be the best of the family. He is the nation’s No. 45 overall recruit, No. 2 pro-style quarterback and the No. 1 recruit in the state of Colorado, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Roughly six weeks after Harbaugh took over at Michigan, McCaffrey was offered a scholarship and took unofficial visits to Ann Arbor in May and in October. He counts offers from Nebraska, UCLA, Duke, Colorado, Penn State and Washington but picks Michigan where he can serve as the face of the rebuilding job with the Wolverines.
With John O’Korn the likely starter the next two years at Michigan, McCaffrey should have an opportunity to step in and win the job as a redshirt freshman.
McCaffrey helped lead Valor Christian to a Colorado state championship last year after throwing for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and only four interceptions, according to Max Preps. He also had 592 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

With McCaffrey in the fold so early this is a huge advantage for Michigan because he can turn into a recruiter and help persuade the nation’s top receivers, tight ends, offensive linemen and running backs to follow him to Michigan. He is the fifth member of the 2017 class that ranks No. 14 overall and No. 3 in the Big Ten.
