Florida State Seminoles defensive back Jalen Ramsey shined at the NFL Combine to solidify his status as a top-five pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Jalen Ramsey came to the NFL Combine looking to put on a show and after the defensive backs closed the event in Indianapolis on Monday, the Florida State defensive back came away as one of the big winners of the weekend.

The All-American cornerback was projected as a consensus high first round pick and did nothing to hurt himself on Monday and should be a top-five lock after his workout.

The 6-1, 209-pound Ramsey ran a blistering 4.42 official 40, had a vertical jump of 41.5 inches and a broad jump of 11’3″, the latter two numbers were tied with California running back Daniel Lasco for the best among all positions at the Combine.

It’s no surprise he did so well because he showed his speed and athleticism on the Florida State track team where he’s an ACC long jump champion who finished fourth at last year’s NCAA Indoor Championships with a personal-record of 26-1.75. He also ran the first leg of the school’s 4×100 relay for the ACC outdoor champions.

Ramsey also has the football tape to match his track speed and athleticism with experience at cornerback, nickelback and safety during his three years with the Noles. His position in the NFL will be determined by the team that is lucky enough to pick him in April’s draft, but he could be a future All-Pro at any position in the defensive backfield.

The Dallas Cowboys could take him at No. 4 if they pass on taking a quarterback to develop behind Tony Romo, the Jacksonville Jaguars could keep him in the state with the fifth pick and the Baltimore Ravens would love to see him slide to the sixth pick because he’d be a perfect fit there.
