  • Alabama doesn’t exactly have the most daunting overall schedule, but the fact that they are the defending champions and will be attempting to reach the playoffs for the third consecutive season really stacks the odds against them.

    The Tide also have one heck of a tough road schedule against four top SEC teams, not to mention the season-opener against USC in Arlington, Tx.

    Saban’s 2016 Crimson Tide team loses a few points for games against Western Kentucky, and Chattanooga, as well as not facing any of the SEC East contenders other than Tennessee. The second half of the season will more than likely determine whether or not we see Alabama as a playoff team once again.
