Is Ole Miss a legit contender?

Hugh Freeze has made the Ole Miss Rebels a consistent presence in the SEC with his ability to recruit top talent to Oxford, and with that comes the pressure to win the SEC West.

Ole Miss has wins over Alabama the last two years to show they can beat anyone when they’re at the top of their game and the return of quarterback Chad Kelly gives the Rebels the best signal-caller in the conference. If Kelly can survive the loss of receiver Laquon Treadwell and left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the NFL, he could challenge for the Heisman.

But it’s not about individual accolades for this team. After knocking on the door in recent years, Ole Miss will be expected to knock that door down and contend for the West.
