The UCLA Bruins are getting former top recruit Cordell Broadus back after the son of rapper Snoop Dogg left the team before the start of his freshman season last year.

Josh Rosen will have a new, old target to throw to as Cordell Broadus will rejoin the UCLA football team for the start of spring practices on March 29, according to Scout.

Broadus was one of the top recruits in Jim Mora’s 2015 class that Rosen headlined as a four-star recruit from powerhouse Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. The California native and son of rapper Snoop Dogg didn’t report to training camp last August but remained on campus as a film student.

He later said he didn’t have a love for the game and he was playing to get the approval of his famous father. return to the team but he won’t take up a scholarship as he’ll return to the team as a walk-on.

The 6-2, 200-pound receiver returns to the team but he won’t take up a scholarship as he’ll return to the team as a walk-on. He was No. 221 overall recruit and the No. 26 receiver in the class of 2015, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He may not be treated like a typical walk-on, however, considering UCLA lost Thomas Duarte and Jordan Payton to the NFL spots are up for grabs. But he’s still a player who has not participated in a college practice let alone a college game and he’s been away from football for a year.

Nevertheless, if he can find his love for the game and put in the work to get on the field this is a player with upside who could be a valuable weapon for Rosen to have at his disposal.
