Can Kansas show signs of life under David Beaty?

If Iowa State is one of the toughest placed to have sustainable success, Kansas has a case to be made as the toughest place to have continued success.

But, before David Beaty can hope to have consistent success, he would settle for winning a darn game. After one year as a head coach, Beaty is still looking for his first win after becoming the first Big 12 team to go winless last year.

They didn’t just lose either. Kansas lost in spectacular fashion. The Jayhawks lost by an average of 30.8 points per game last year and allowed offenses to move the ball at will on them with an FBS-worst 560.8 yards allowed per game.

Expectations have never been lower and many would be happy with a win over Rhode Island in the season opener, but Kansas has to show a pulse this spring or else Bill Self and his men’s basketball team better have a deep run in the NCAA Tournament to make up for a lost season coming up on the gridiron.
