It’s becoming harder and harder to say that Carson Wentz is not the best quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Carson Wentz has climbed up NFL draft boards, with many believing that he is, in fact, the best quarterback prospect available. Still, there’s much debate about where he will land to start his NFL career.

There have been knocks against California’s Jared Goff, with scouts saying his hands are too small, he’s too slight of build and he didn’t win many (14) games in college.
But when you analyze Wentz, it’s hard to find a knock against him. He won two FCS National Championships at North Dakota State, shined at the combine and had a near flawless pro day, completing 63-of-65 passes.
There are many potential suitors for Wentz, with the Cleveland Browns owning the No. 2 pick in the draft. However, the signing of Robert Griffin III could alter some things.
The San Diego Chargers could be open to moving down from No. 3, opening the door for any potential Wentz suitor to get ahead. The Chargers have had a reputation of trading out of their top five picks as well.
San Fransisco figures to be in the mix for a quarterback, but they’ve also been extremely interested in keeping the local product Goff in town. The Los Angeles Rams could also be a destination with the No. 15 pick.

The way Wentz has performed, it seems as if he is a can’t miss prospect. Goff is still certainly worthy of a top-10 pick, but at this rate, it seems Wentz is making a strong case to be the first quarterback taken in the draft, with a strong chance of being a top-five lock.
