Game Date: Saturday Nov. 5, 2016
Venue: Carter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, N.C.
Series Record: FSU leads, 25-11
Last Meeting: Nov. 14, 2015 (FSU 34, NC State 14)

Why is this one of the best late-season games of the year? Because, there’s something about playing Florida State that seems to bring out the best in NC State, who have a history of being the mad Seminole season killers, especially when playing in Raleigh, and especially when FSU has a lot on the line.

In a November game, the Seminoles could very well have conference championship game hopes on the line when they travel to play the Wolfpack.

NC State has won two of their last three games against the Seminoles at home, and came just short of upsetting the heavily favored FSU team in 2014. That 56-41 victory by the Seminoles showed a lot of flaws in then-quarterback Jameis Winston‘s game.

The trap for the Seminoles is that they’ll be heading to Raleigh right after hosting Clemson in a big rivalry game. A letdown could be on the menu. NC State will be well-rested with this being the second of two straight home games.

It’s way too early, but I’m calling upset in this one right now. Mark it down.
