Brady Quinn: Another quarterback fail for the Cleveland Browns with Brady Quinn, with the 22nd pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He bounced around to seven different teams in nine season career. He threw 12 touchdowns to 17 interceptions in his career. His success at Notre Dame just never translated.
Tim Tebow: There were a lot of questions surrounding Tim Tebow as he was approaching his NFL career. His mechanics, accuracy and footwork were a concern but the Denver Broncos traded up in the first round to take him with the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. While he had Tebow magic in Denver, the NFL just wasn’t in the cards for him, bouncing around to the Jets, Patriots and Eagles.
Todd Blackledge: With the seventh pick in the 1983 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Todd Blackledge out of Penn State. He went 31-5 for the Nittany Lions in his career as a starter. He was taken ahead of both Dan Marino and Jim Kelly, Hall of Famers. He would start a total of 29 games in his seven-year career, winning 15.
Heath Shuler: At Tennessee, he was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. He was then the No. 3 pick in the 1994 draft taken by the Washington Redskins. He would go on to start 22 games in his four-year career, only winning eight. He threw 15 touchdowns to 33 interceptions.
Art Schlichter: The fourth pick in the 1982 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts, he would spend just four seasons in the NFL before finding much more success in the Arena Football League. He had gambling problems throughout his career, which kept him out of the league after being arrested and suspended from the league indefinitely before finally being reinstated. He would finish his career with three touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
