Some scouts are torn between Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. While more seem to favor Wentz, Goff still owns characteristics that consider him worthy of being taken first among quarterbacks. The comparison here for Goff is one that was also taken early in the draft and has established himself as a top 12 quarterback in this league.

Both quarterbacks are long, Goff coming in with a bit more length but less of a solid frame. Matt Ryan hasn’t had much success in the post-season, so if Goff can turn his team around and turn them into a playoff contender and find success.

There are a lot of question marks around Goff, including his ability to win, hand size, throw power and slight frame. But Goff is an extremely accurate pocket passer and with his smaller build, he’s not going to be one to ever drift away from the pocket either.
