Pac-12 Football: Breakout player from every team for 2016
By Gabe Encinas
The Cougars surprised a lot of people this past season and in 2016, they’ll be returning to prove to everyone that it wasn’t a fluke.
You can expect their air-raid offense to steal the show with Luke Falk and Gabe Marks as the one-two punch. The run game is virtually non-existent for the Cougars, so you figure that the defense has that chance to propel the Cougars.
While he was a part of the 100 tackle club last season, not too many people know about Peyton Pelluer, now the junior linebacker, who was an honorable mention Pac-12 selection this offseason.
The Cougar defense is on the field a lot, specifically because of the fast paced offense. With so much time on the field, it gives Pelluer more chances to make a play. The younger linebacker in the Pac-12 should be able to make a name for himself, especially if the Cougars can repeat their success from the 2015 journey.
