Paul Magloire just has a nose for the football, probably because he’s been around it for so long. He’s currently 22 years old as a redshirt senior after taking many twists and turns to get to Arizona.

Out of high school he went to Milford Prep, then Appalachian State as a quarterback. Switched over to running back and didn’t get much usage. The led to his transfer to Arizona Western College, where they moved him to safety upon his arrival. He’s now at Arizona, playing linebacker after the team was hit with injuries all last season.

Magloire didn’t start until week five of the regular season when things really started going south for the defense. He had five tackles through the first fives games, only to finish the remaining eight as a starter with 72 tackles on the season, good for second on the team, most in that eight-week span.

This year, he’ll look to be the anchor of the defense, taking over the tackle leaderboard in a new defensive scheme, trying to replace consensus all-American Scooby Wright.
