Texas spring game 2016: How to watch online
Details on how you can watch the Texas spring game online and on TV so you don’t miss one second of the action from Charlie Strong’s team on Saturday.
Will Year 3 of the Charlie Strong era be any better than the first two years in Austin? Texas Longhorns fans are certainly hoping this is the year Strong gets his team playing like a team that can compete for a Big 12 title.
After upset wins over Oklahoma and Baylor last year there was some optimism that his team was trending in the right direction, but you can’t ignore the fact Texas lost seven games last year to finish with a losing record for the second year in a row under Strong.
Another season like that and Strong will surely be looking for a new job, even though he has recruited at a high level since arriving in Austin, and had a big rebuild on his hands that even he had to be taken aback by.

Texas may be in that in between stage this season with a collection of underclassmen who will be playing big roles this year, including rising sophomore Malik Jefferson who could contend for being the best all-around linebacker in college.
But the biggest question for Strong is who is going to lead this new-look offense under first-year coordinator Sterlin Gilbert. Will it be Jerrod Heard or Tyrone Swoopes? It’ll be Swoopes getting an extended look in the spring game on Saturday with Heard nursing a shoulder injury, so the pressure is on him to make a big impression.
Those are just a few of the storylines to watch for on Saturday, and here are the details for the Texas spring game so you won’t have to miss any of the action.
