2. LSU Tigers
LSU checks in at No. 2 where Les Miles and continued to build on what Nick Saban did during his time with the Bayou Bengals. The pressure to win at LSU is intense and it nearly cost Miles his job last year because winning 10 games every year doesn’t matter at LSU if you aren’t beating Alabama and competing for SEC titles.

The administration decided to keep him in the 11th hour but it would’ve been interesting to see the coaches who would have lined up for one of the best jobs in the country. LSU has a lot going for them from the awesome venue that is Tiger Stadium to the tailgating environment created on game days to the passionate fan base.
Their biggest draw for a prospective coach is there is no competition in the state from other FBS programs. Sure, LSU has to fend off the likes of Alabama and others to keep the top recruits in the Pelican state within the state’s borders but if there is a top recruit in Louisiana, you can pencil him in for LSU.
Louisiana may rank behind only Florida, California and Texas when it comes to producing FBS and SEC-caliber talent and they get the first pick on all that talent to keep the pipeline funneling to LSU.
