SEC Football: Ranking the best coaching jobs
1. Alabama Crimson Tide
Critics will say the Alabama job won’t be the best job in the SEC when Nick Saban leaves, but I’d counter and say it’ll be the best job in the SEC after Saban because of Saban.
Alabama has invested a great deal of money in Saban to give him the best facilities and amenities to reflect a program that has won four of the last seven national championships. This is a team run like an NFL franchise and is built to win annually no matter who is on the field or who is on the coaching staff. Saban has seen Heisman winners leave the program, assistants take head coaching jobs elsewhere and yet Alabama keeps on winning.

The Crimson Tide are one of the few jobs in the country that can attract whoever they want and when the phone rings you have to answer that call. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan and Texas (because of their piles of cash) are the only other five you can put in that same class.
Because of Saban, the next generation of recruits knows all about Alabama and their rich tradition and legacy and will want to be a part of that even after Saban is retired.
