SEC Football: Ranking the best coaching jobs

7. Ole Miss Rebels

Depending on what happens with the NCAA investigation into Ole Miss, the Rebels ranking on this list could plummet if the program is hit with some crippling penalties. Let’s just assume the NCAA won’t hand down a punishment like they did to USC a few years ago with the Reggie Bush sanctions and strip them of a ton of scholarships and they can still compete.

The Ole Miss job is definitely trending up as the school has been able to land national recruits like Robert Nkemdiche, Laremy Tunsil and Laquon Treadwell from out of the state and to Oxford, Mississippi. They’ve already separated themselves so much from Mississippi State that they are the preferred choice for the state’s top recruits and their campus routinely ranks among the loveliest in the country.

With another year of Chad Kelly, the Rebels have a chance to take the SEC West and if they do, this program will have solidified itself as one of the best programs in the SEC.
