NFL Draft 2016: 9 biggest steals in first round
NFL Draft 2016 saw some teams make wise picks in the first round and got great value with these steals. Here are the five biggest steals in the first round.
The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books. We knew the two quarterbacks were going to go with the first two picks. We just didn’t know with 100 percent certainty in the order Jared Goff and Carson Wentz would go.
When the Los Angeles Rams picked Goff and the Philadelphia Eagles took Wentz, the draft could really begin with the San Diego Chargers on the clock at No. 3.
The Chargers pick kicked things off and the rest of the first round was full of curveballs that we couldn’t anticipate in our wildest dreams. 30 minutes before the draft began there were images of Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil circulating around the internet of him smoking a bong and apparent messages of him saying he was given money by coaches at Ole Miss.
He owned up to the photo and owned up to an exchange of money at Ole Miss as he burns all bridged back to Oxford. Can’t imagine the folks at Ole Miss are too happy about Tunsil throwing the program under the bus like this, but it set the stage for a wild scene as the first round played out.
Despite the concerns surrounding Tunsil, he winds up on this list of the biggest steals in the draft because he is a supreme talent who may be the draft’s talent who slid all the way into the teens before the Miami Dolphins stopped his fall.
Without further ado, here are the 10 biggest steals in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
