2017 NFL Draft Big Board: Ranking the top 32 prospects
The 2016 NFL Draft just ended but it’s never too early to take a look at the top 2017 NFL Draft prospects. Here is the first big board for the 2017 draft.
For the first time since 2006, the 2016 NFL Draft saw the SEC fail to have a player picked in the first five picks of the NFL Draft. However, the 2017 NFL Draft could see the top five consist of five SEC football players.
The SEC is stacked once again as we flip the page on the 2016 draft and look ahead to the crop of draft prospects that will dominate the coverage of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Next year’s draft will feature the loaded 2014 recruiting class that featured Leonard Fournette, Myles Garrett and Cam Robinson, among others. The recruiting industry can put a feather in their cap because those former five-star recruits figure to come off the board early when the 2017 NFL Draft gets underway.
While the Ohio State Buckeyes were the big winners with 12 players drafted, including five in the top 20 picks and a record 10 in the first three rounds, the Buckeyes won’t be as heavily represented next year.
However, next year’s Ohio State could be Les Miles’ LSU Tigers who have the most players in the early big board with five players but by next April could have as many as seven players with first round grades.
Without further ado, here is the initial big board for the 2017 NFL Draft.
